excellent show and recording
I can't stop listening to this recording; excellent musicianship and sound quality. You can hear the crowd at times, but it's not bad - folks are having a good time and appreciating the show. The Keels are real deal artists and I've been listening for 10+ years. Their songs continue to evolve, and all have a foundation of heart and emotion. Larry's guitar work is first class, no doubt, but the range of styles covered here, with all types of crazy time signatures and rhythms will leave you smiling. Jenny's bass playing is rock solid and she really shines in spots. While I'm gushing, check out the lyrics to songs like 'They' - WOW. A few highlights for me include: They, Culpepper Woodchuck, I'm no Doctor, The Message and Pioneers.
Thanks Larry, Jenny and others for making this happen. This is a keeper!!
